Overview
Los Cerritos
The Los Cerritos School Project will provide a primary school and wastewater treatment solutions to the Los Cerritos community in Guatemala. The students currently study in a community center across from the school site after their previous bamboo structure failed. EWB-MSOE will design and implement a one story, three classroom, confined masonry schoolhouse, a kitchen, bathrooms, handwashing stations, and sewage treatment on site. The design of the project started in April 2018 and is scheduled to be constructed in the Spring of 2019. Currently, 89 families live in this community, with 48 students attending the school.
